About Lohri
Lohri marks the end of winter and the harvest of rabi crops, especially in Punjab. Families light a bonfire in the evening, walk around it, and offer til, gur, rewri, peanuts and popcorn into the fire while singing folk songs and dancing bhangra and gidda.
