In this row, Vishwakarma puja is taken as an important event which is celebrated every year in India. Globally too, many Hindus like celebrating this wonderful occasion. On this day, the God of architecture in the Hindu religion, Lord Vishwakarma is worshipped.
However, there is an important point to notice here that this festival is not commonly celebrated at houses or homes of people. Rather, the pujas or functions happen at the workplaces of people, such as commercial venues, factories, mills as well as corporate offices.
It is important to note that God Vishwakarma is even known as Biswakarma in many areas of India. His Jayanti is mostly celebrated in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam and Tripura. In fact, the portions of West Bengal, Odisha and Karnataka also enjoy taking part in the celebration of Vishwakarma Puja. This is also the end day of a Bengali month which is called Bhadra. It is known by the name of Kanya Sankranti too.
Vishvakarma Day is a restricted holiday in 2024. It falls on Saturday, 17 September 2024 and is celebrated in Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab.

Vishwakarma Puja also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti and Vishwakarma Day is the celebration of Hindu God Vishwakarma – the divine architect. He is considered as the creator of the world and swayambhu. The Puja is generally celebrated in the month of September or October.
The day is celebrated with full enthusiasm in factories, offices and workshops in the industrial areas.
