After completion of her graduation, she came back to Kerala to pursue a modeling career. She won Miss Malabar 2011 title and also won Miss Perfect 2010. She is a trained dancer. She began to receive acting offers and decided to act in the films after she won beauty peagant titles. In the year 2017, she won three consequent Best Actress Award.
Avantika Mohan started her acting career in 2012 with the debut film Yakshi-Faithfully Yours. It is an experimental film featuring all the newcomers in the lead roles and was directed by Abhiram Suresh Unnithan.
She played a major role in the serial and appeared in a titular character snake ghost named “Nagayakshi“, a snake who turns into a women after coming to the planet.
After, she apppeared in the lead role in the movie Crocodile Love Story.
She made her Tamil debut with the movie Alamaram, a horror film which released in the year 2014. She debuted in Telugu film industry with the movie Vundile Manchi Kalam Mundu Munduna, and another one with the debutant director Shyam Mohan‘s thriller 8:20 released, it went on well she got good appreciation for her performance from the film Critics and the audiences. She also signed for the next films Male Baruva Munna, an Oriya movie and a Hindi movie directed by Samagra Ganesh which is based on a true story. She has also signed for the film Rajavin Parvai Raniyin Pakkam, the director of the film is Azhagu Raj.
Television debut
In May 2016, she signed for the TV series Athmasakhi to play lead role in Malayalam language. In this, she plays Dr.Nanditha character, who’s profession is a doctor.
Later, she made her Television debut in Telugu through Raja Rani. In the serial, she played the role of a strong and innocent school teacher. She gained positive reviews for both TV serials. In 2018, She had to quit Athmasakhi due to pregnancy completing 500 episodes.
