Candlelight, Diyas, homes loaded with a sweet scent of tempting sweets and chocolates, the love of loved ones, and the breeze of the approaching winter season, that’s how we portray a wonderful picture of the Diwali celebration in India. Diwali—”Festival of Lights “is India’s most auspicious festival, largely celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains around the nation. Diwali symbolizes the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and an occasion for people to step on, to let go of personal grudges, and to create merry.

Happy Diwali Wishes 2020

Diwali 2020 will be observed this year on Saturday, 14 November. Diwali, also known as Deepawali is celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar season of Kartika month (between mid-October and mid-November). On the day of Diwali, people worship Maa Lakshmi, the goddess of abundance and happiness. In certain parts of the world, it marks the celebration of the day when Lord Rama returned to his realm Ayodhya after defeating the demon-king Ravana.

Though, Diwali is indeed celebrated as Lord Ram’s homecoming back to Ayodhya after he killed Ravana. But there are some lesser-known reasons why Diwali is celebrated:

From the enticing gooey barfis to the peppery mathris, every state of India has its own way of making Diwali delicious.

In the true sense, Diwali means capitulating to all kinds of evil, brutality, hatred and discrimination between each other. It literally means glorifying the beginning of prosperity, joy, peace and goodness in all realms of life.
