Ashadhi Ekadashi Wishes 2025: The 11th Lunar Day of the Hindu month of ashada that falls in June or in July is also known to Shayani Ekadashi by various names such as Maha-Ekadashi, Padma Ekadashi and Devpodhi Ekadashi. Vishnu 's followers also known as Vaishnavas wish this day as a rare, holy day. The images of Vishnu and Lakshmi are worshiped this day; the whole night is spent singing, prayers, wishes and devotees take vows fast on this day, observed in this holy four-month rainy season during the whole chaturmas. You may give up a food item or fast all day on Ekadashi.

Importance of Devashyani Ekadashi
According to religious scriptures, auspicious works can be celebrated only after four months of Ashadhi Ekadashi. There is a need for house entry, purchasing shoes, vehicle etc. Devuthani Ekadashila When Lord Vishnu wakes up from Yognidra, after that auspicious work begins.
There is a belief in Hindu religion that a human being's one year is equal to one day and night of the gods. Then Dakshinayan is the night of the gods and Uttarayan is the day of the gods. The Uttarayan of Cancer Sankranti is completed and the Dakshinayan begins... I am the god of my life. This Ekadashila Devshayani Ekadashi is not very auspicious.
Auspicious yoga of Ashadhi Ekadashi! (Devshayani Ekadashi 2025 Shubh Yog)
Devshayani Ekadashila with Anuradha Nakshatra is easy with Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yoga, Shubh Yoga and Shukla Yoga. There will be auspicious yoga till 7.04 in the morning and after that Shukla yoga will be inauspicious.
Celebration of Ashadi Ekadashi:
Vishnu is seen to be asleep on the cosmic serpent Shesha nāga in Ksheersagar-the cosmic ocean of milk. The day is therefore referred also to as DEV-Shayani Ekadashi or Hari-shayani Ekadashi or Shayana Ekadashi. Four months later on the eleventh day of the light quarter of the hindu month, Prabodhini Ekadashi (October – November), Vishnu eventually awakens from his nap. This period coincides with rainy season and is known as Chatourmas. So the beginning of the chaturmas is Shayani Ekadashi. Devotees begin to watch Vishnu on this day by watching the Chaturmas vrata.
Significance of Ashadi Ekadashi:
King Mandata, who ruled a very stable and rich Empire, is said to remain. His kingdom people were extremely pleased with his decision. But there was a time when the kingdom fell into hunger and drought for three years, with scarce rain. People were hungry and the King was always blamed for his past sins. He set off on a long trip, with almost no idea what mistakes he made. He met many wise men on his journey, but nobody could offer a solution. That was when King Mandata met Sage Angira, who told him that rather than seeking the cause behind his people, seek solutions that could bring the rains to your kingdom. On the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, he told the King to worship Vishnu and practice it immediately.

The King came to his reign with great relief and did as the Sage suggested, along with all his supporters. In no time could the people of his kingdom witness the results of his Devshayani Ekadashi Vrat. And like any happy ending, the Kingdom also has its lost glory, with rain washing off all traces of suffering.
Processions on Ashadi Ekadashi:
Today, in Pandharpur, in southern Maharashtra, Solapur district on the banks of the Chandrabhaga river, a large yatra or religious procession of pilgrims known as Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadasi Waari Yatra culminates. Pandharpur is the deity Vitthal, a local form of Vishnu, the principal center of worship. Lakhs of pilgrims from different parts of Maharashtra are coming to Pandharpur this day.
